Kiko Guided Tours will introduce you to an authentic experience of te ao Māori (the Māori world) through tikanga (cultural ways), home-cooked kai (food), pūrākau (storytelling) and enriching kōrero (conversation). Our manuhiri (visitors) walk at their own pace on easy walking paths. We guide only small groups which ensure a unique, authentic, bicultural quality visitor experience.
Your Tour Guide
Meet Mary (Mere) Clifford, a New Zealander of Māori and Pākehā (European) descent, with ties to Waikato-Maniapoto and Ngāti Porou iwi (tribes) and early Bohemian settlers. Mary is an accomplished artist, teacher and photographer, who loves hiking in the great outdoors. Our kaiārahi (guide) will welcome you as whānau (extended family) and take you to incredible places known to only a few.
